Music: A Lifelong Love Affair
Ever since I can remember, music has been my constant companion.
I grew up mesmerized by my dad’s record collection—studying the psychedelic swirl of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, the noir storytelling of The Stranger—and glued to the radio, waiting for my favorite songs to play. When they did, I’d slam the record button on my crackling cassette player, desperate to capture the magic, even if it meant enduring DJ voiceovers and static. (Worth it.)
My first self-bought tape—Journey’s Frontiers—wore thin from endless replays. I’d sing along, air-guitaring like Neal Schon, dreaming of the stage. That dream took shape in college when I picked up a guitar, joined cover bands, and eventually played gigs across the Tri-State area. But the real leap came when I stopped fearing my own voice and started writing. Lyrics, riffs, melodies—suddenly, they were mine.
Music isn’t just something I listen to or play. It’s how I breathe. Whether I’m performing with a band, tinkering alone, or chasing a melody at 2 AM, creating is the closest thing I know to pure joy.
This section is a home for that journey—the songs, the stories, and the soundtracks of my life. Dive in, and maybe you’ll find a piece of yours here too.
